Last week President Anika asked each member to take on the challenge of finding at least 2 speakers in a 1 month time frame. We all need to chip in and help bring some fun, informative and exciting speakers to our meetings. You might be the speaker yourself! For instance, at tonight's meeting our newest member Luis will be presenting about some other organizations he is involved with and passionate about the work they do. Samantha shared with us not to long ago about her new business.
Our incoming new member Bill has taken on the task for July and so far has a speaker for the 31st.
Keep these things in mind when looking for a speaker:
1) We ask for a 15 minute presentation with an additional 5 minutes for questions (We can go longer with the presentation if we know up front)
2) Visuals are always awesome, Power Point or photo's to enhance. Please check with the potential speaker to be sure they know how to work with zoom or if they might need help. We can provide help if we know in advance and are sent the documents.
3) Look for interesting topics or projects that are educational, fun and inspirational. They do NOT have to be Rotary related. Just please refrain from speakers that are looking for money to further their cause. That doesn't mean we might not be interested in helping, but it should not be the main reason for their talk.
4) Check the website under "speakers" to see dates that are available and email Karen to reserve or book. Once your speaker is on board, ask them to send a photo and a short bio along with a title for their presentation. Sometimes we like to invite other clubs as well.
5) Send your emails to intlinnovatorseclub@gmail.com and our website is https://rotaryeclubofintlinnovators.com
President Anika asked each member to take a month, or she would assign you one. So who will be working to find August speakers? How about September? Let us know at tonight's meeting!!
